Burmese cats are well-known for their dog-like personalities and their extroverted temperament. This breed is a common pet for people who claim not to like cats but cannot help but to love this breed. 

This breed has muscular and compact bodies with a silky coat. They have a short-hair, sleek coat and are in the common colors of their coat include dark brown, champagne, blue, and platinum. Burmese have expressive, large, and round eyes. Their ears are rounded towards the tips and lean a bit forward. Burmese eyes are usually golden or yellow. 

Ocicats are an interesting mixture of a wild look with a sweet nature. This breed of cats is athletic fur balls that are quite affectionate and playful, making them a very loving pet to have. 

They are well-known for their exotic looks, they have golden or brown-shaped spots along with their bodies. Ocicat’s fur colors include cinnamon, blue, chocolate, lavender, tawny, and even a few shades of silver. They have an athletic built and may be heavier than they look. Male Ocicats weigh between 9 and 15 pounds while females weigh between 6 and 9 pounds.

If you are looking for a playful and loveable ball of fur, Tonkinese may be the perfect cat breed for you. Despite popular belief that cats are cranky and not sociable animals, this is the complete opposite of the Tonkinese cats. 

Tonkinese has a majestic appearance with their elegant limbs and broad ears. Their fur is pointed and silky. The fur colors of Tonkinese include champagne, platinum medium brown/chocolate, and blue. 

The Chartreux is a refined, short-haired French breed of cat. They are pet and kid-friendly and make for the ideal family companion. They play in spurts and love attention but are not needy. The Chartreux has an exquisite blue cloak of fur and an angelic smile.

Chartreux are popular because they make interesting companions. Some days you may be greeted with a strong purr and a mysterious smile. They are loyal, loving, and easy-going cats with a polite disposition. 

The Oriental is an elegant and graceful Siamese hybrid breed of cat. They adore humans and are very vocal with a loud, gruff voice. These cats are full of energy, enthusiasm and believe that the world revolves around them. 

One minute they behave like royalty, and the next, they are inquisitive and digging around in your business. They are highly intelligent and curious felines. They crave human interaction and cannot be left alone for long periods. 

Orientals are extremely playful throughout their lifespan. It’s best to have plenty of toys available for your Oriental before they start making use of your household items. 

The Toyger has a fierce appearance and adoring personality, making them the perfect combination of wild cat looks in a small, domesticated body. Their bold stripes and majestic gait will make you feel as if you have a tiger king living in your home. 

Toygers were bred to not only look like mini tigers but to also capture these wild cats’ physical traits. They are muscular, athletic cats with rolling gaits that look like they belong in the jungle. 

Similar in appearance to a Siamese or Hairless cat, this breed is athletic with short curly hair in multiple colors and patterns. The cornish rex are very sociable, affectionate and loyal cats that can be very playful and energetic. 

With short hair, these cats are among the easiest to groom and clean up after. The color of the coat can vary, as well as the pattern. They can live up to 15 years with a good diet and the correct exercise.  

Long hair, a flat face, and a loving personality that will make a treasured pet for all age groups.

This is a high-maintenance breed, and they will need an owner who can groom them daily.

Persians are known for their beautiful coats. Their coats come in different solid and colorful patterns, but that hair does need daily or regular grooming. Mats, knots, dirt, and dead hair gather up over time, and they will need help to groom and clean. 

A true Turkish delight! 

The Turkish Angora is a magnificent long-haired cat hailing from Ankara, Turkey, where it was originally bred. 

This magnificent cat has a long history, with some theorizing the Angora’s introduction to Europe on Viking ships. What is well documented in the Angora’s history is the breed’s decline towards extinction while being heavily used in the breeding of the Persian cats of today. 

The Turkish Ankara zoo halted this decline, which ran a successful breeding program of the exclusively white variety of Angora cats. The breed itself was fully recognized in 1978. 

The curly-haired Devon local. 

The Devon Rex is a relatively young breed of cats, with its history traced back to a kitten named Kirlee, born in the 1950s in Devon, England. 

A tortoiseshell cat was the mother, and a curly-haired stray fathered this curly-haired kitten.
